ILEAP Academy is a specialised academic center that walks with each student from the first level test, through YKS preparation, until university admission and the choice of major. In addition, we have three centers in Istanbul, and we are also one of the first Arabic centers in the city specialised in YKS, with classes in person and online.

Why YKS now
The 2026 rule changed the way in
If you study at a Turkish high school, YKS is now your door to a Turkish university, even if you are not Turkish.
Studied at a Turkish high school?
Since 2026, foreign students who enrolled in or graduated from a Turkish high school, including students under temporary protection and Mavi Kart holders, enter Turkish universities only through YKS.
The questions are in Turkish
TYT and AYT are written only in Turkish, so knowing the subject is not enough. You also need to read each question quickly and correctly.
Every net counts
Four wrong answers cancel one correct answer. In addition, rankings decide places in medicine, law and engineering, so a steady plan beats last-minute study.

Level test and groups
Every student starts at their real level
First, students take a level test (Seviye Tespit Sınavı) in Turkish, maths, science, social sciences and the basic skills that YKS preparation needs. Then we place them in the right group:
Temel · Foundation
Clear gaps in the basics, so the student starts with a support and foundation program.
Orta · Intermediate
Solid basics, but the student needs to develop further and solve questions faster.
İleri · Advanced
A strong level, so the focus moves to YKS itself, with higher nets and a better ranking.
Weak at the start? We build a support plan
However, a weak result in the level test does not mean a student cannot succeed. Instead of leaving them behind, we add Turkish support (reading, paragraphs, vocabulary, grammar and understanding the question faster) and maths support (basic operations, fractions and percentages, algebra and problems) until they can join the main YKS program.

TYT, AYT, YDT and the right track
Once the foundation is ready, students then start YKS preparation according to their university goal. We do not start with “which university do you want?”, but with “what are your abilities, which field suits you and what goal can you reach?”.

Next, the field tests, with a focus that depends on the student’s track.

Finally, the foreign language test, for students who aim for language programs.

YKS preparation questions
What is ILEAP Academy?
ILEAP Academy is the academic center of ILEAP. It offers YKS preparation, LGS, Academic Turkish, English and university support, with level tests, follow-up and guidance until university admission.
What does ELIP mean?
In short, ELIP sums up the four pillars of ILEAP Academy, namely Eğitim (education), Lisans (university), İstişare (counseling) and Profesyonellik (professionalism). Together, they also guide every step of YKS preparation.
Where are your centers?
ILEAP Academy has three centers in Istanbul, and the program is also available online. Message us, and then we will tell you the nearest center and the next start dates.
Do you teach in Arabic?
Yes. We explain topics in Arabic and teach the Turkish exam terms step by step, because YKS questions are only in Turkish.
When should I start YKS preparation?
As early as you can. ÖSYM usually holds YKS in June, so starting in the autumn gives you about eight months for a complete plan.
Can foreign students take YKS?
Yes. Since 2026, foreign students who studied at a Turkish high school enter Turkish universities through YKS. Students who finished all of high school abroad usually apply with TR-YÖS or SAT instead.
